We had family and friends gathered in Cahersiveen to celebrate a 70th birthday, and a group of us took a guided tour of the town. It was a fantastic experience—informative and enjoyable for both locals and visitors alike. Emma was an absolute pleasure to deal with. Many thanks!

I was lucky to be involved in a walking tour of Cahersiveen on Saturday morning despite the weather being damp it didn't stop Emma's enthusiasm for the history and mythology of the area. She is very knowledgeable, pleasant and engaging lady. I really enjoyed the experience and her pace suited our group. I would highly recommend booking a tour with her.

We had a brilliant 5 days in Caherciveen Co: Kerry and Emma McGrath from Oilean adventures put together a wonderful itinerary for us. She organised a swim and sauna at Cuas Crom beach which was so refreshing , a boat trip out to the spectacular Skellig islands , a day trip to the magical Derrynane house and information on wonderful seafood places to eat , Murts bar for the best pint of Guinness in town and information about ferry crossings times to Valentia island and back. Best of all she made us feel so very welcome with a wonderful pack of local jam, marmalade , bread, butter and chocolate.

We had such a great time with Emma on a recent tour! She created such a friendly atmosphere and had a lovely itinerary for us including hiking, lunch, boat tour and sauna. She is clearly very knowledgeable about the area, and we saw some beautiful spots while on the tour, a fabulous way to see a bit more of South Kerry. I would highly recommend going on a tour, such an enjoyable day and a great way to go to some picturesque spots away from the tourist mainstream areas and enjoy a day in nature!

We had a wonderful and exciting day with Oileán Adventures during our holiday in South Kerry. Away from the tourist mainstream, Emma guided us in a small group through the beautiful countryside around Cahersiveen. For me (61, and from the German "Lowlands") the hill hike to Beentee was quite challenging, but I was very proud when we reached the top and had fantastic views into the distance. We particularly liked the fact that Emma not only knew her way around geographically and could explain to us exactly what we were looking at, but also showed us lots of plants along the way. Little things that we would never have discovered on our own. Pleasantly exhausted, we had a cosy lunch in Cahersiveen with delicious pub food that left nothing to be desired, even for me as a vegetarian. Unfortunately, the planned boat tour had to be cancelled due to engine problems. However, this didn't dampen our spirits, as we were able to enjoy the Skellig sauna all the longer at the end. Chatting and laughing in the sauna was a welcome surprise for us Germans and nothing, really nothing, could beat cooling off in the Atlantic afterwards. We enjoyed this day with Emma to the full, as she is very enthusiastic about nature and lovely as a person. We really hope that we will have the opportunity to experience a little adventure with her again.
